Fostering innovative behavior in health organizations: a PLS-SEM analysis of Norwegian hospital employees

Abstract Background Health organization research is experiencing a strong refocus on employees’ individual innovative behavior (IIB), revealing that many of the influential factors at work remain uncertain. Hence, this study empirically examines fostering hospital IIB by focusing direct and indirect relationships organizational culture (here labeled internal market-oriented , IMOC), psychological capital (PsyCap), commitment (OC). Methods The focused sample 1008 employees, using partial least squares–structural equation modeling method to analyze test hypothesized in study. A multigroup comparison was performed heterogeneity personal characteristics. PsyCap were tested mediator analyses. Results Our results reveal IMOC has positive significant correlation IIB. directly related indirectly Furthermore, found OC.
